Claessen Blue™ Receives ISCC PLUS Certification — A Global First for Bio-based Dyes
Claessen Blue™ becomes the first publicly known bio-based dye in its category to earn ISCC PLUS certification, strengthening traceability and supply-chain readiness at scale.
We are proud to announce that Claessen Blue™, Chloris’ bio-based blue dye, has received ISCC PLUS certification. Based on currently available public information, Claessen Blue™ is the first bio-based dye brand/product globally in the dye category to achieve this certification.
ISCC PLUS is one of the most recognized international certification systems for bio-based, bio-circular and recycled feedstocks. Through independent third-party auditing and Mass Balance chain-of-custody management, it provides a credible framework for traceability, allocation and sustainability claims across complex industrial supply chains.
For Chloris, this certification is more than a sustainability milestone. It strengthens the supply-chain readiness of Claessen Blue™ and provides brands, mills and dyeing partners with clearer evidence when introducing bio-based color into real-world textile applications.
The certification was issued by DIN CERTCO GmbH, with Vertexynblue (Jiangsu) New Materials Co., Ltd., Chloris’ production base, as the certified production entity. The certified input material is glucose, under Bio / Bio-circular raw material categories.
